Add button or menu link to search results

Hello, I have a site that has content in a button or menu item that links to an external URL. Is it possible to have this show up in the search results? Site uses Avada theme and buttons are part of the builder. If not, will adding a section with a title and short description within a page and turning on TXT in the Search and Output settings allow the content to show in search results?

Yes, WPFTS Pro can do this trick. I guess you have inserted the button from the Visual Builder library? In this case, the raw text view of the post content should show the shortcode of this button with the link to the file inside (in the "link" or "URL" attribute).

WPFTS Pro can handle such cases with an additional small PHP code addon, which I will provide to you.

Please copy the raw text of your post content here so I can create such an addon.

Okay, thanks for the example. One more question: do you want this link to be shown inside the Smart Excerpt output or just below it? Are you using Smart Excerpts at all?

@epsilonadmin Hello! Yes, we're using Smart Excerpts and screenshot attached of the settings if you need it.

If possible, it'd be nice to have it inside to match the style of the others. All pages/post show the excerpt in the results and the PDF's just simply are a link. If it can function like the PDFs and just take the person to the external link, that'd be great.

First of all, to see attachment contents in Smart Excerpts with Avada theme you need to implement a small patch, which removes the incompatibility of Avada theme.
