Endless indexing
-
@dcuder we have exactly the same problem. do you already have a solution for it?
-
@NetzPrinz Hi, a year has passed, but if I remember correctly I needed to update my plan because the amount of documents found exceeded the current plan limit.
-
@dcuder It's not correct. For the WPFTS the number of documents is not limited on any plan (neither free nor pro).
@NetzPrinz Often this happen because there is one post that breaks the indexing routine. We tried to make the indexing routine more protected from such cases, but it is still happen sometimes (in very rare cases!). Could you please tell me which version of the WPFTS you are using currently?
-
@EpsilonAdmin Thanks for your Reply.
Ok i understand.
This is the Version that we use Version 2.46.180.
And what can we do?
-
@NetzPrinz I sent you a newer (pre-release) version to the private chat. Please try to install it above the 2.46.180, it has numerous fixes including those for better indexing.
-
May you can send us as well your pre-release version or release it for all? same here, never ending indexing on Current Version v2.46.180 (paid version) on WP 6.2.2 and PHP 8.1.17 PHP max input variables 5000 PHP time limit 300 PHP memory limit 512M , thx

@cloudconnection Hi, I sent you pre-release version via the private message. Sorry, I don't want to share this version since it's a bit "raw" yet. But new release coming very very soon.
Thank you.

@EpsilonAdmin thank you, works like a charm!

pre-release version
the same problem (v2.46.180) with 2 sites. Please send your pre-release version to solve this problem. Thanks!
-
@EpsilonAdmin Hi. I have the same infinite indexing problem with the v2.49.200 on wp 6.3.1 (maria DB) and....Elementor. I have even a problem on the front-end: the PDFs are not shown.
-
list item I have already installed the "patch" for elementor - wpfts-addon-elementor
-
list item I have already checked the PDFs on the media gallery and they're all correctly extracted without any error.
-
list item if I use the "test search" from the plugin options, it correctly shows the PDFs: the problem is just on the frontend. (Unfortunately the website is in maintenance mode and I can't put it live, so the link would be useless)
-
list item I previously used Algolia, but I already deactivated the (unofficial) plugin and reset all the previous setup.
Are the 2 problems (indexing and frontend) related? If not could you please try to solve both the issues?
Thanks

@Rainer Hi, I answered you in the private message. Thanks!
-
@CarloPerni Hi, I have sent you the pre-release version of the WPFTS. According to front-end issues: could you tell me please, which theme you are currently using? It does matter.
Also please check if you have any other search-related plugin(s) enabled and try to temporary disable them. It should help. Thanks!
-
Thanks. I've already deactivated other search plugins. We are creating everything from a scratch with elementor using "hello elementor".
I'll install the patch asap and I'll let you know.
